Capt. Tom Spight, of the Second Mississippi Congressional District, has formally announced his candidacy for re-election. Congressman Spight, in a recent speech before the National House of Representatives at Washington, bravely declared his belief in lynching the brute guilty of committing the unmentionable crime, and he deserves the greatest credit for having made that speech. Capt. Spight has a host of friends in Yalobusha County who would be delighted to have him succeed himself.
