Obituary
ZELMA ROBERTS, daughter of Bro. S. D. Roberts, of Woodland Church, Amite circuit, was born
May 4, 1884, and died September 16, 1887. Though so young, this dear little girl had been taught a great deal about heaven. She loved to talk of mother and the "pretties" up there. While bereft of his father, wife and a young child, her father found comfort in his sweet little Zelma. From the home from which her grandfather had gone to his heavenly mansion, the gloom of his death was largely dispelled by the wonderful intelligence and brightness of her pure child-life. In that home her grandmother, father, aunt and four uncles delighted in this sweet child. Perhaps she was too pure and tender for earth, and God took her to a pure, balmier clime. She cannot come to us. Let us all, in our sorrow, say, "We will go to her." Blessed hope! blessed Jesus! Messed heaven!
