Mack Bobo, negro, charged with the murder of Rosa Frazier, a negro woman, at Ballentine, in Panola county, twelve miles west of Sardis, was rescued from a mob of several hundred negroes, who were intent on lynching him, last Sunday afternoon, by Sheriff Johnson, and safely lodged in the Batesville jail.
