Wallace McLaurin, the Democratic national committeeman for Mississippi spent the day in Jackson, Tuesday, and while there gave it out that the McLaurin faction will make a desperate fight before the State Convention, June 15, to secure an instructed vote for W. R. Hearst as the party nominee for president. The McLaurins will be opposed by John Sharp Williams and Gov. Vardaman, who are lined up for Judge Parker. The outcome of the fight will be watched with keen interest, as it will be a test of strength of political leaders in Mississippi.
