Mr. W. W. Screws has sold a “joint half interest” in the Montgomery Advertiser to Mr. Chappell Cory and Mr. Frank P. Glass. Messrs. Cory and Glass are both well-known journalists, the former having been at different periods prominently identified with the Advertiser and the Selma Times and the latter having but recently retired from the chief tripod, of the Times. Of course we need not say that the triple alliance will battle for the people of Alabama under the flag of true and tried Democracy. The union is one of exceptional strength. We predict for the Advertiser enlarged usefulness and increased success, under the new ownership.
