Dr. M. B. Wharton, formerly pastor of the First Baptist church at Montgomery, has been installed at Freemason Street Baptist church at Norfolk, Va.
Revenue Agent Walcott Lay, of the United States Treasury Department, has just completed a critical examination of Collector Moseley’s office at Montgomery and says everything is all right.
Capt. C. B. Perry, of the United States Engineer Department, at Montgomery, states that the work on the Cahaba is being rapidly pushed by Captain Price, and that a snag-boat is to be built at once for on that river.
