--After Mary Anderson gave her closing performance in London she received an ovation which lasted for half an hour. People cheered, shouted, wept, and the whole audience sang “Auld Lang Syne.”

--Miss Nettie Carpenter, the fourteen year old American violinist, who has received the gold medal at the Paris Conservatoire, is to make her London debut under distinguished auspices. She played Saturday night, by especial request of the Prince of Wales, at a private musical party at the residence of Lady Andalusia Molesworth in Eaton place. Both the Prince and Princess of Wales were among the brilliant audience assembled.
