The Richmond correspondent of “The Petersburg Post-Appeal” writes: “Miss Julia Jackson, only child of the late General Stonewall Jackson, will be married sometime in May to Mr. Wm. E. Christian, a son of the Rev. W. H. Christian, who married in Petersburg years ago a daughter of Thomas Branch. Mr. Christian is a young gentlemen of fine business habits and unimpeachable character. He is about twenty seven years of age and stands high in this community. Miss Jackson, who is twenty-two years of age, is of small stature, modest in mien, and is considered one of the fairest blondes in Richmond.”
