Lewes, Delaware January 16, 1950;

Mrs. Mary Ash, age 76, whose kin include 30 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren died today in Beebe Hospital

following a weeks illness. She was the wife of John George Ash, retired Lewes house painter, who she married October 30. 1893,

im Wilmington when she was 20 years of age. They had been man and wife for 56 years. Mrs. Ash was the daughter of Samuel

and Hannah Jefferies Palmer of Lewes. Her children, two sons, Harry Burton Ash, Sr., and Charles Ash of Love Creek Lewes,

five daughters, Edith Helen Ash Parker Carpenter, of New Castle, Marion Catherine Ask Mitchell of Lewes, Margaret Zillah

Ash Bryan, of Lewes, Sarah Josephine Ash Hazel, who died in 1940, and Mary Elizabeth Ash White of Virginia.

Mary Leathel Palmer Ash is buried in a family plot at Conleys Chapel Cemetery, Angola, service conducted by Rev. E. Charles

Louhoff, Harbeson and Rev. Dr. William Leishman, Lewes.
