GASBOAT ROLFE OF YAKUTAT IN AND OUT
Captain William Gray, merchant and general factotum of Yakutat, arrived in Juneau Thursday morning in his boat, the Rolfe, and left late the same afternoon on the return trip. Captain Gray came to Juneau for the purpose of taking back the body of an Indian woman who died this week at the Native hospital here home of Yakutat for burial, it being an Indian superstition that the bodies of the dead rest better when lain away near the haunts that knew them in life—a belief not wholly confined to Indians by any means. Captain Gray says Yakutat has been quite lively since the opening of the fishing season.
