Lewes, Delaware 27 August. 1954.

Thursday, August 27 1954, four year old Lynn W. Mitchell was buried in two sand slides playing with older boys, the

first slide buried the youngster up to his arm pits and as the older boys were digging him out a second and larger sand

buried him under four feet of sand. A Graves Sand Company backhoe operator dug the lad free but he was dead when he

arrived at the Beebe Hospital. Lynn was a son of Mr. & Mrs George H. Mitchell of Lewes.
