OVER THE STATE
-------
Major D. G. Hudson left Decatur last Saturday for Louisville and will not likely return to North Alabama until next fall. The summer will be spent with his family at New Albany, Indiana, and at watering places in the Northwest.—Decatur News.

Mr. Asa Rountree, who has become attached to the Hartselle Index, was in town Wednesday. Mr. Rountree is a young man of considerable ambition and energy. He has become the local of the Hartselle Index, and we predict that not one incident, from the bark of a canine to the thunderous eloquence of a county candidate, will fail to be recorded.—Decatur News.
