The Business Men’s Ticket received a strong ally yesterday in the announcement of the well-known cotton buyer and warehouseman, Walter R. Laxson who becomes a candidate for alderman from the second ward on the above ticket, thus completing the list for that ticket. Mr. Laxson has been with the Jones-Baugh Cotton company for ten years and has made an enviable record for push, energy, application to work and loyalty in service to his employers.
