Will Visit Alabama State Institutions
By Staff Correspondent
Montgomery, Ala., August 19.—L. F. Greer, inspector of the state convict system, whose direction of the agricultural work of this department of government has been usually successful this year, has been designated by the board of control to visit all state institutions in Alabama and assist in the perfection of plans for farm and garden work during the winter and next spring.
Mr. Greer will establish the methods which have been found successful in the work of the convict department. He will visit all institutions of higher learning, including normal schools, as well as such institutions as the insane hospitals and industrial schools. Reports to the convict department indicated that the harvest on the convict lands will be the greatest in the state’s history.
