CONVICTS WILL NOT DIG COAL FOR EXPORT
By Staff Correspondent
Montgomery, Ala., September 9.—Governor Kilby issued an order today prohibiting the use of convict labor in the mining of coal for export and in a letter to C. B. Rogers, chairman of the board of control and economy, said it may be necessary later to amend the order so as to prohibit the shipment of convict-mined coal out of Alabama.
