Grants, N. M., June 9.-- "Dick Eagle,” the half breed Cherokee Indian who killed Santiago Vallo at Blue-water Saturday a week ago, is still at large and it is believed that he has succeeded in evading the posse which has been scouring the country for the past few days. Deputy Sheriff Brenton, of San Rafael, who has been leading in the search for the murderer, has not been heard from for four days, and his friends here are beginning to entertain fears that he has met with an accident. It is now believed here, that Dick Eagle was the man, who fatally wounded J. W. Moss, the Indian trader at Chaves, last Wednesday night.
