The death of Mrs. Murrel Martinson, formerly a resident of this city, occurred at Portland, Ore., last Thursday [April 15]. The funeral was held at Portland Saturday.

Mrs. Martinson was a native of Milton, Iowa, 22 years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Washburn of this city, and spent her girlhood days here and had been a student of the Moscow schools. She had been ill but a few days and underwent an operation at a Portland hospital, and her death was startling news to her relatives and friends. The deceased is survived by her husband and a daughter two years of age.
