Several teachers and student's parents were present at a preliminary meeting at the home of Mrs Ernest Schaufus Tuesday afternoon to discuss organizing a Parent-Teacher Association Mrs Edwin Feske of Greenfield was present and gave a talk on their organization and the good work they do. It was voted upon to begin an organization and the first meeting will be January 9 in the Powers Institution.
Union Thanksgiving service will be held in the Goodale United Church on Sunday morning at 11 with the preaching by the pastor, Rev A. L Truesdell.
In commemoration of the pioneers and the founding of Bernardston, there will be a pageant of the "Falls Fight" and founding of the four forts, presented in the town hall on December 5. The pageant has six scenes and Mrs Lucy Cutler Kellogg of Greenfield, author of The Bernardston History, will be one of the speakers.
