The commencement exercises of the New Mexico Military Institute at Roswell were concluded May 24th. Cadet R H Crews of Hillsboro N M delivered an able valadictory address.Judge William H Pope addressed the cadets on the subject of Opportunities.The medal in the collegiate department was won by A E Brownell of Ely Minnesota and the preparatory medal by John C Arrington of Canadian Texas. The following cadets received gold medals in the inter society debate:

D W Kenard of Cleburne Texas
G H Hart of Cleburne Texas
Cadets R H Crews and C E Kuns were presented with a commission as second lieutenant in the militia of New Mexico by Adjutant General A P Tarkington of Santa Fe. The following cadets received diplomas.
