Accidentally Kills Self
News has that been received here on the death of the young son of Roach Stacy a prominent citizen residing near Eoline in Bibb county. While hunting with a young companion by the name of Medders, the gun carried by young Stacy was in some way discharged blowing off the top of his head and resulting in instant death. The companion of the dead man is unable to explain just how the accident occurred as he was walking in front of the young man who was killed. The accident occurred Saturday afternoon.

[Note: Census records and death certificate confirms this was Richard Oliver Stacy. Oliverís death certificate gives the cause of death as an accidental gun shot on 4 March 1922. He was buried in the Haysop Cemetery of Bibb County.]
