Birthday Party

The many friends of MRS. JOHN H. BONNELL gathered at her Paia home last Saturday night and tendered her a surprise party on the occasion of her birthday. The evening was spent in dancing and games, after which refreshments were served.
Those present were: MR. and MRS. W. L. ROACH, MR. and MRS. C. P. DOWSON, MRS. LAURA SABEY, MR. and MRS. JAMES SMITH, MR. and MRS. FRANK PEACOCK, MR. and MRS. HUGH MCNICOLL, MRS. R. BRADLEY, MR. and MRS. W. J. LILLIS, MR. and MRS. L. DANIELS, MR. and MRS. GEORGE MCINERNEY, MR. and MRS. JOSEPH TING, MR. and MRS. CHRIS COCKETT, MISS CHENENA ALAPA, MISS JENNIE KALINO and Messrs. TOM CLARK, FRED BOSS, and EDDIE MONTGOMERY.

Honors with Bridge

MR. and MRS. WALTER L. HANEY were host to a number of their frineds Saturday evening when they gave a bridge honoring their house guest, MISS THELMA ROTHWELL of Honolulu.
Eight tables were in play, and prizes were won by MRS. FRANKLIN LANGA and MR. ARTHUR BRAUE, who were high, and MRS. ERDMAN BALDWIN and MR. FRANKIE LANGA, who held low scores. A lovely guest prize was presented to MISS ROTHWELL.
Those invited to meet MISS ROTHWELL were Messrs. and Mesdames ERRDMAN D. BALDWIN, LOUIS BOYUM, ARTHUR D. BRAUE, A. B. BROWN, HAROLD FILLER, J. H. FOSS, F. E. HOWARD, FRANKLIN LNAGA, GEORGE MELANCON, F. E. SKINNER, GEORGE STEELE, OSWALD STEVENS, MISSES HELEN VAN KUREN, MARTHA JEAN MACKAY, Mesdames KENDIG, LINDEN MELANCON of Honolulu; Messrs. CHILCOATE, FRED MURPHY and WILLIAM DOIG.

Picnic at Kihei

For the girls of the Wailukku Dramatic Club a jolly picnic was held at Kihei last Wednesday evening. In three cars the party left Wailuku and on arriving at the beach, swimming was the first order of the eveing, giving all a hearty appetite for the good things they brought with them. After supper the evening was spent about ahuge bonfire which they built, singing and in social chatting. Those in the party were MISSES FRANCES SEIBERT, MARY HUGHES, GERTRUDE UHLMAN, ROSE REGO, HALLIE HARDY, CARRIE MONIZ, ELSIE TOM, MARY KAM, CECILIA ENOMOTO, VIRGINIA TEXEIRA, HILDA GONSALVES and Mesdames BROWN and WONG.

Teachers on Vacation

The Steamer Hawaii was crowded with teachers from East and West Maui, going to Honolulu and Molokai for Easter holidays.
Those from Lahaina were MISS MARLEN LAU, MRS. LYDIA GIDDINS, MRS. R. ATCHERLEY, MRS. J. HOOD.
Later in the evening the S. S. ________ took ______ passengers and teachers to Hilo.
