Burglars Kill an Old Woman
Carmi. Ills., June 9 - Burglars broke into the house of DANIEL P. GOTT of Norris City, and shot and killed Mrs. GOTT, aged 67, for resisting them. They burglars secured $145 and some jewelry. The murderer and his companions, who were identified, escaped. Bloodhounds are on their trail.
A Kentucky Feud Revived
Middleboro, Ky., June 9. ABE LEE, a member of the LEE faction of the LEE-TAYLOR feud, which raged in Harlan County ten years ago, was killed Wednesday night from ambush. It is thought that the TAYLORS did the deed and the LEES are arming. The old feud will be revived.
Killed by a Mule
Bethlehem, Pa., June 9. Kicked in the abdomen by a mule which he was attending, FREDERICK WAGNER, aged 19 years, was hurled 15 feet through the stable door and instantly killed.
