Great preperations were being made to celebrate the golden wedding of ex-mayor and Mrs. Anson BARSTOW, but on account of an accident in which Mrs. BARSTOW sustained, preperations were stopped. Mrs. BARSTOW fell a few days ago and is suffering from concussion of the brain.
Mr. and Mrs. BARSTOW were married in Barnard, Vermont in 1854 and came to California by the Isthmus in 1867, settling in Oakland.
Mr. BARSTOW was mayor of Oakland for one term and also served as a member of the City Council. Mrs. BARSTOW is associated with the Young Woman's Christian Association.
