Private David Mitchell, of the 1/4 Gordon Highlanders, killed in France, was the second son of Mr. J. Mitchell, Don Street, Old Aberdeen, and before enlisting was employed with the firm of granite merchants in Aberdeen.

Private William M'Pherson, of the 1st Gordon Highlanders, killed in France, was before enlisting, employed at the Aberdeen Gasworks. His wife resides in Aberdeen. He was the only son of Mr. Charles M'Pherson, Kilsyth.
