Freeport, Ill., March 22.--Hon. John HOEBEL, one of the most prominent Germans in the Northwest, passed away at his residence in this city to-day, aged 61 years. For seventeen years he was the Vice President of the German Insurance Company, and various times was City Treasurer and Alderman. He was prominently identified with the Order of Odd Fellows, and was known among the fraternity in this and other states. He will be laid to rest on Thursday.
