The home of the celebrated Whippet and Wyllis Knight cars in Geddes is Florey's Garage, one of the successful business interests of the city.
Henry Florey, the proprietor fo this strictly modern Geddes garage busines, is a native of Sac County, Iowa. Very early in life, however, he became a resident of South Dakota, his parents having removed to Armour when he was a child three or four years of age. He grew up there and received a rural school education.
On attaining manhood Mr Florey farmed awhile, then operated his own threshing outfit. Then in 1923 he came to Geddes, leased the building he now occupies and opened the garage which he is operating here today with the sale of Whippet and Wyllis Knight autombiles and J I Case threshing outfits as his main lines. From the first the venture proved successful.
Florey's Garage does a generla repair business, retails, motor oils and greases, does iling, greasing adn wshing of automobiles and has modern car storage facilities.
Mr Florey is a practical garage man and employs four people besides himself. The building is a brick 75 by 100 feet in dimensions and is modernly equipped with everything needed for handling the work in first class order.
Mr Florey is a married man, has a fine family of children, owns a home in Geddes and is rated as n an all around good citizen as well as an able busines man.
