The following letter from Mrs. Addie M. GRAHAM, donor of our excellentfiltering plant is highly appreciated.
Nov. 11, 1910
Mr. F. H. BOWRON
Dear Sir:
Enclosed you will find my check on Beckham National Bank of Graham for one dollar - my subscription to the Leader - and I take this opportunity to thank you for the kind words and wishes expressed for me in your notice of our filtration plant, all of which I assure you is appreciated. I feel grateful for the privilege of doing something that will reach so many people arid be a blessing to them. Really tho1 more of the credit of that achievement is due to Mayor GRAHAM (Mayor M.K. Graham, son of Mrs. Addie M. Graham), for when I sought his advice as to some charitable work I might do, he suggested a filter to cleanse acid purify our city water and after I decided to follow his suggestion, took upon himself the whole charge of the work; getting up the plans, superintending all the work, so as to have done in the best possible manner and without his careful oversight it have been less satisfactory when completed. Now we may all enjoy the nice, clear water and thank God for the privilege of the change in
it.
You, too, are deserving of praise, for the clean paper you are giving us, and for your persistent efforts to build up the town and benefit the whole community. Wishing you great success in the good work you are doing, I am respectfully yours,
Mrs. A.M. Graham
