Since the coming in of the McCluskey a few weeks ago the oil men have been busy. There are now 19 rigs and drilling wells in the South Bend field and about 30 locations. There are at least 25 drilling wells besides the South Bend Wells in less than 60 days we are sure there will be 100 or more drillig wells in Young County.
The large companies are rushing pipe lines from Breckenridge this way. One six-inch line has reached Eliasville and a three-inch line has already been built to the South Bend field. There are now six producing wells in South Bend field and more than that number around Eliasville. Some of the wells have been drilled in less than 30 days.

This is the same sand as found in the Goode No. 1 also J.J. Scott No. 1 which has been producing about two months.
Scott No. 2 was shot Tuesay with 20 quarts but did not make any more oil and they intend to plug back and develop the first sand.
Ford No. 1 on the William Carter Surney, and just the other side of South Bend, and being drilled by the Roxana people, is flowing oil at intervals from the Donnell sand and is estimated it will make 50 barrels from this sand.
They have encountered the Scott sand at a little better than 2100 feet and have moved the boiler back and may drill in today.
It is reported the McCluskey is still holding up with the drill only about 10 feet in the sand. McCluskey No. 2 is in construction. This second well is 300 feet southwest of No. 1 and near the river, and about 700 feet of the Graham Oil Syndicate well.
