Rev. T.H. Burton and family left Thursday morning for their new home of Bartlett, Bell County for the Methodist church there.

Mrs. H.C. McKinney honored her son, Elliston with a 12th birthday dinner. Those invited were his little cousins, the Boswell boys.

Burton family leaves and so do Misses Cora and Evelin Burton.

Elder Carr, a young man living in the Padgett community, 12 miles southwest of here, is in a serious condition as the result of a pistol wound inflicted early Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Carr were visting at the home of Sidney Tandy, a neighbor, and Mrs. Carr was examining a large caliber automatic pistol,owned by Mr. Tandy, when the weapon was accidentally discharged, the bullet striking her husband in the side and ranging upward through the chest.
He was brought to the Hamilton Sanitarium where the bullet was removed from just under the skin on his back.

Miss Merle Wood has accepted a position as night operator for the Haskell Telephone company.

Mrs. Vida Joyner of Farmer attended the school carnival.

Bruce Neelley and Rev. Wall of Ingleside attended annual Methodist conference.

Born, Saturday night, Nov. 11 at the Sanitarium, to Mrs. Hargrave of Elbert, twin girls.

Earl Wall of Ingleside was the guest of his sister, Miss Ethel.

Mrs. Bernard Cooper of Lone Oak was shoppig in Olney.

M.N. Guest of Rule was the guest of Miss Grace Cross the past weekend.

C.C. Hammond returned Tuesday in Negra, New Mexico after visit with parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.N. Hammond.

Mrs. Nora Holcomb of Eldorado, Oklahoma is visiting her daughter Mrs. R.E. Westley.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Graham and Miss Johnnie Belle Leberman of Annarene was in town.

Barcus and Willie Keen came in Saturday from New Mexico to take charge of the old homestead.

Mr. and Mrs. Irby Rhodes moved to Graham Tuesday. Mr. Rhodes has the management of the J.P. Alexander Company there.

The Olney Hide and Produce Company have sold out to the Western Frontier Company of Abilene. Mr. Homsley and Mr. Streakley will continue the management of this branch of the firm.
