The Work of Death

The Late Mr. Harbaugh

Mr. Simon W. HARBAUGH, a highly respected and useful citizen of Sabillasville, whose death from paralysis on Sunday evening last, was mentioned, was born September 16, 1836. He was the eighth son of Elias and Anna K. HARBAUGH, who died August 4, 1851, and February 15, 1849, respectively. He is survived by a widow whose maiden name was Mary Elizabeth SMITH, and four children, one being the wife of Mr. Thomas F. EYLER of Sabillasville. His remains were interred in the U. B. Cemetery, Thurmont, on Wednesday, 9th inst. Service was conducted by Rev. W. Dougherty of the U.B. chruch.

Mrs. Anna C. Bruchey

Mrs. Anna C. (O?) BRUCHEY, wife of Joseph C. BRUCHEY, died at twelve o'clock last night at her home in Fairview, of consumption, aged 65 years. The deceased was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church for more than fifty years and a woman highly esteemed and beloved. She leaves six grown children: Charles BRUCHEY, of Washington; Dr. Edward BRUCHEY and Eugene BRUCHEY of Cincinnati; Howard BRUCHEY and Mrs. Harry WEBSTER of Doubs and Miss Ella BRUCHEY, at home. The funeral will take place on Monday morning next from the Fairview church. Services will be conducted by Rev. M. L. BEARD, pastor of the Lutheran Church at Middletown.

William Young

William YOUNG, aged 70 years, 4 months, and 28 days, died at Apples Church, November 5th. He was the son of Elder Henry and Mary YOUNG, deceased. For many years he had been the sole charge and care of a devoted sister, whose life had been devoted to attending to his every want. The funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. G. A. WHITMORE, assisted by the Rev. M. F. GERTER of the Moravian Church.

Mary Cromwell

Mary E. CROMWELL, aged about 3 years, daughter of Frank and Alice CROMWELL, died at her home near Park Mills, Monday, of croup. Her funeral took place Wednesday at 2 o'clock p.m., at Hope Hill Church, Rev. Thomas DIGGS. The bearers were J. LEE, E. HOWARD, N. JOHNSON, and F. LEE. George W. PETERS was the undertaker. Interment in graveyard adjoining church.

Mrs. Buxton

Mrs. Buxton, widow of the late John S. BUXTON, died at her home, near Clarksburg, Montgomery County, yesterday morning, aged 82 years. Four sons survive her, Rev. J. H. BUXTON of Drifton, Pa.; William H. BUXTON, a merchant at Clarksburg and Somerset and John BUXTON, near Clarksburg.

A Child

Anna, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cramer of Thurmont, died last week. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the U. B. Cemetery.
