Fredric W. Kibler, 90 of Berkley, Mich. formerly of Royal Oak, Mich. died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at St. Anthony's Health Care Center, Alton.
He was born January 5, 1918 in Martinsburg to Joseph and Noma Kibler.
Mr. Kibler served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and retired in 1986 from Acco Chain Conveyor Co. where he had worked for 42 years. He was a member of the Royal Oak Church of Christ and did volunteer work for the American Red Cross.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel, whom he married in 1981; children, Richard J. (Jena LeLeux) Kibler of Gainesville, Fla. and Elizabeth A. (Steve) Gibson of Alton; sister, Norma J. Hoaglin of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Apryl Wilson, Hailey, Corey and Dylan Johnson, Nathan (Tammy) Kibler and Cristina and Brianne Kibler; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Hamberg and Patrick and Emilee Gibson and great grandsons, Brandon, Derek and Aiden. His first wife, Dorothy, died in 1977.
Visitation was held Saturday, March 1 from 2-6 p.m. Services were held Sunday, March 2 at 3: p.m. at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak, Mich. Burial was Monday at 11 a.m. at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit. Memorials suggested to the Royal Oak Church of Christ or the Church of Christ Care Center
