Blaze at Amador City.
Jackson, Cal., Sept 26.
A fire, which started in Amador City today burned ten frame buildings in the
business part of the town including O'Neil's hall with a stable underneath,
Culbert's timber yard, A. Weil's warehouse and dwelling house and several
other residences. The fire started in the stable under O'Neil's hall and is
believed to have been accidental. One horse was burned to death. The loss is
estimated from twelve to fifteen thousand dollars, partially insured.
