Description: Burial of Fred Van Heuit

Date: February 24 1900

Newspaper published in: Virginia City

Source: library microfilm

The funeral of Ferdinand Van Heuit, who died Wednesday, took place from Knights of Pythias Hall yesterday and many Knights and friends of deceased attended the interment.
The hall was crowded with sympathizing friends and many beautiful flowers covered his coffin. Services were conducted by Rev. William Stewart and a choir sang appropriate hymns.  The final parting of the heart-broken widow and her children from the dead husband and father was most affecting and brought tears to the eyes of all present.
