Death of a Veteran The Boonsboro Times records the death of Charles N. Lapham, a clerk in the office of the Registrar of the Treasury at Washington, on Thursday September 3. This gentleman, the Times says, was a native of Vermont, and during the war, a member of the First Vermont cavalry. He had both legs shot off near Boonsboro, and was removed from the hospital to the residence of Miss Nancy Stotler, where his wants were attended to by willing hands. Deceased was forty-eight years of age and leaves a widow and daughter.
