Description: Richard Ewing Dies at Home of his Son

Richard Ewing, 91 years of age and a resident of Tonopah for the last seven years, died yesterday morning at 6 o’clock at the home of his son, George Ewing who resides near the Victor shaft. This kindly old gentleman was know to quite a number of Tonopah residents and was frequently seen up town. He had been failing rapidly of late weeks and death was due to senility.

Richard Ewing was born at Dayton, Ohio and had been a farmer nearly all his life. He went to Oregon about eight years ago where he remained for a year or until he came to Tonopah to reside with his son. In addition he is survived by a married daughter, Mrs. Florence Hooper, residing at Millers, and by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Tonopah.

The funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 4 o’clock from the undertaking parlors. Internment took place in the local cemetery.
