Mrs. Hilda Sinnott, long time resident of Mineral County, died Tuesday in a Reno hospital where she had been a patient for many months. She was 80 years of age.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 5, 1892, Mrs. Sinnott spent her early life in that state. Following her marriage to Melbourne C. Sinnott, the couple resided in southern California for a few years and in 1916 moved to Candelaria where Mr. Sinnott engaged in business and Mrs. Sinnott later served as postmaster for several years.

The Sinnotts moved to Mina in 1929 to make their permanent home in that community. Mr. Sinnott preceded his wife in death in 1968. Until her final illness, Mrs. Sinnott was an active member of the Mina Civic Club and also was a long-time member of Turquoise Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Tonopah.

She is survived by a brother, William L. Nitzche of Mount Rose, California.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Ross-Burke Knobel Mortuary in Reno.
