Description: Death Notice - Blanche Higgins

Mrs. Blanche Higgins, mother of Mrs. Charles A. Hendel of Hawthorne died Sunday afternoon at a Reno hospital. Mrs. Higgins was 84 years old. She was a native of Cannon City, Missouri and had resided in Utah before moving to Nevada in 1906 with her husband, the late, C.C. Higgins. Mr. Higgins, for many years, was mining editor of the Reno Evening Gazette, he died in 1943.
In addition to Mrs. Hendel, two other daughters and one son survive. They are Mrs. Dorothy Bell of Reno, Mrs. Virginia Stevenson of Woodstock, Conn., and Winfield C. Higgins of Reno. Also one sister, Mr.s W. H. S. McGlumphy of Aldwin, Kansas, ten grandchildren, including John Bell of Babbitt and several great grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Reno.
