A Splendid Farm for Sale At a Great Bargain

This estate (the Covington estate) lies in Middletown valley, Frederick County, Maryland, and contains about four hundred and sixteen acres. It is about two miles from Knoxville and the Baltimore and Ohio railroad and Chesapeake and Ohio canal, and one mile from Petersville, where there is daily mail. The farm is highly improved and beautified. It is well watered, having a running stream in every field, and near three thousand feet of hydraulic pipe raising the water at the mansion twenty six feet. The mansion is a substantial Brick building, forty by twenty-eight, with a range of dry cellars, large parlor, dining rooms, and five sleeping rooms, with a brick kitchen attached, with quarters, overseers house, &c. The farm is nearly all under post and rail fence, and has one of the best apple orchards in the county. There is about three hundred acres of cleared and hone hundred and sixteen of woodland of very fine timber, including much locust. If desired, the farm will be divided into several tracts and sold separately. A long credit will be given if desired on most of the purchase money, and great bargain may be had.
