Funerals

The funeral of Jonathan BISER took place yesterday. Brief services were held at his late home on Eighth street conducted by Rev. Dr. E. R. ESCHBACH, after which his remains were conveyed to Middletown, where services were held at the Reformed church, Dr. ESCHBACH officiating, assisted by Rev. J. W. PONTIUS. The pallbearers were Wilbur H. DUVALL, John E. SCHELL, J. Marshall MILLER, John BARRICK, Charles O. BISER, Cyrus P. BISER, Lawson H. BISER, G. W. M. Keller. Interment was made at the Reformed cemetery at Middletown. A T, RICE & Sons were the funeral directors.

The funeral of Anna B. JOHNSON, colored, took place from her late residence, near Mt. Pleasant, August 31. She was aged 55 years. The services were held at Silver Hill church, and were conducted by Rev. W. H. Jones, of Liberty. The pallbearers were Singleton WASHINGTON, John MINOR, Charles MARTIN, Joseph SMITH, Neil WOODWARD, and Edward BOWENS. Interment was made at Silver Hill cemetery. Jacob S. PERRY & Son were the undertakers.
