BUILDING PERMIT GIVEN TO WOMAN ARCHITECT
Martha GODDARD, who is named as her own architect, has taken out a building permit for the erection of a one-story brick store at 1965 Calvert street northwest. The cost is placed at $4,000, and the construction has been placed in the hands of Builder Louis H. EMMERT.
This is the second permit granted this year to a woman architect in this city, the other being to Mrs. Mary I. MAY, who has built a handsome row of houses.
