The Work of Death
Mr. Eli SLAGLE died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Raymond LONG at New Midway last evening of general debility, aged 83 years, and 7 months. Mr. SLAGLE was a retired farmer. He is survived by four children. William and Samuel SLAGLE, of Oak Hill, Md.; Mrs. Millard PHILLIPS and Mrs. Raymond LONG, New Midway. One brother, Charles SLAGLE, of Middleburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella STIMMEL, of Loy's Station, and Mrs. Janet GRABILL, of Winchester, Va. also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow, meeting at the house at 1 o'clock p.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Hemer, of Thurmont. Interment will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery at Woodsboro. Sharetts and Powell are the funeral directors.
