George Lewis, a one time resident of this place, died in New Mexico Thursday. Mr. Lewis was gassed while serving his country overseas. He has been suffering from tuberculosis for several years. The body was shipped back here and the remains were layed to rest in the Woodland Cemetery Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives. The deceased leaves a wife and two small children, also a large number of friends and relatives in Streetman to mourn his death. The enterprise extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
