MOBILE, Jan. 10 (AP) - A verdict for the defendent was returned last night by a jury in circuit court here the suit of John Aiken, of Baldwin county, for recovery of part of Dauphin Island from the city of Mobile on the ground that the property had been acquired more than 200 years ago when the property was granted by the King of Spain for colonization purposes were retaced in the case. Aiken contended that the property was obtained from his forefathers for the government for fortification against naval invasion and that when the government abandoned the military ports several years ago the property reverted back to him.
