The many St. Louis friends and acquaintances of Mr. Miron BARKER, one of the oldest residents of Red Bud, Ill., will be pained to learn of his death, which occurred at his home on last Tuesday afternoon, the 14th inst. Mr. BARKER had been spending some days in St. Louis visiting his daughter, Mrs. W. H. STARR, and returned to Red Bud only a few days before his death. Mr. B. was born in Monroe county, Ill., September, 4, 1823, and has been a life-long resident of that State. His was a remarkably pure and upright life, and his decease will be mourned by the entire community in which he has been an honorable and respected citizen for so many years.
