Date: June 30 1885

Newspaper published in: St. Louis, MO

Henry VAN MISZANI, a Hungarian, was shot at Bonne Terre last night by a man named WEBB. The latter had gone intoxicated to the residence of a widow with criminal intent and VAN MISZANI interfered. WEBB had also endeavored to entice a little girl away and attempted an outrageous assault upon another little girl. He also made an improper proposal to MISZANI's wife and came back to the MISZANI residence later with three men with the intention of cleaning out the Hungarian family. MISZANI ran to the railroad round-house for help and WEBB fired upon him as he passed the gate. He was wounded in the thigh and side. WEBB made his escape.
