CHURCH IS DEDICATED BY BAPTIST CONGREGATION
Dedicatory services were held last night at the initial opening of the Cosmopolitan Temple Baptist Church. It is located in N street, between Ninth and Tenth streets northwest, and was recently purchased from the Presbyterian congregation.
John C. DANEY, recorder of deeds; Judge E. W. HEWLETT, W. T. VERNON, register of the Treasury, and B. H. WARNER delivered addresses. Handel’s oratia was sung by a trained choir. The Rev. Simon P. DREW, D. D., pastor of the congregation, preached the dedicatory sermon.
