NEW YORKER SLAYS SELF; SQUANDERED HIS FORTUNE

New York, Jan. 2 - Having spent nearly $200,000 in a few years in high living and bad business adventures, Archibald Paul MITCHELL, twenty-seven years old, committed suicide in his apartment at 350 West Seventy-first street yesterday. When found by his wife’s maid, MITCHELL had been dead several hours.
MITCHELL married Miss Augusta HEARNE, of Wheeling, W. Va. Her father was once a candidate for governor of his State.
At her marriage Mrs. MITCHELL’s father gave her an allowance of $20,000 a year.
