Washington, April 1 – The democratic representatives of the sixty-second congress who will control the house for the next two years met today. The meeting was called to order by Henry D. Clayton of Alabama, after which Albert S. Burleston of Texas was elected permanent chairman of caucus. Choosing house officers are scheduled to be one order of business as follows:
Sergeant at arms, Postmaster, doorkeeper and chaplain contest over sergeant of arms post one between U. S. Jackson of Indiana and W. S. Ryan.
