Description: Death of James BradyDate: August 21 1901
Newspaper published in: Tucson
Pantano and Jim Brady have long been associated with each other. The old man has conducted a road house there and he was well known in that section and hereabouts. It was only last week that he was in town and carried with him the marks of a gunshot wound in his face, the result of an attempt at suicide, it was then stated made two years ago. He laid in the hospital here for months, between life and death. Yesterday news of his death came and Coroner Wilson went over to Pantano to hold an inquest. The findings were that “James Brady aged 65, a native of Ireland, came to his death on Sunday night from natural causes, superinduced by alcoholic stimulants.”
The remains were brought to Parker’s parlors and the funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.
