By The Associated Press
Chatham, Va., Nov. 20 – When the case of Mrs. Ludie Barrett, of Gretna, charged with the murder of Chesley Neal, the suitor of her fourteen-year-old daughter, was called in court here today, the attorneys for the defense announced that Mrs. Barrett was killed by a train on Monday at Dry fork, while on her way here to stand trial.
The woman and her husband were charged jointly with the killing of Mr. Neal, and the court continued Mr. Barrett’s case until the next term.
